New HGTV Series, The Unsellables, Reveals The Secrets To Selling Hapless Homes

TORONTO – March 13, 2008 – HGTV’s new property series, The Unsellables, takes on the challenge of transforming the most unsightly homes on the market into real estate gems ready for a bidding war. Hosted by British television presenter and property expert Sofie Allsopp, this 13-episode Canadian-produced series offers practical how-to tips and targeted makeovers to attract the ideal buyer. The Unsellables premieres on Wed., Apr. 2 at 10pm ET / 11pm PT as part of HGTV’s Real Estate Wednesdays programming block.

From dated décor to cluttered interiors, The Unsellables highlights the biggest turn-offs for potential buyers and offers easy solutions to make a property more marketable. Sofie Allsopp (sister to Kirstie Allsopp of HGTV’s popular UK series Location, Location and Relocation, Relocation) and contractor Anthony Sayers coach and cajole home sellers through a major clean-up and house preparation to seal the deal with prospective buyers.

Sofie Allsopp has worked as a real estate agent, sales and renting negotiator and relocation agent in her native London, England. She currently has her own company that specializes in finding homes, managing moves and assisting with the post-sale services. She has a degree in Medieval History from Edinburgh University.
